The Problem
Shared drives index the outside of a file: its name, its date, the folder somebody dropped it in. So last year’s launch video is lost because nobody
remembers it was called final_v3_EDIT.mp4, and the clause you need is in
one of sixty PDFs that can only be found by opening them.

Accessible by Default
Because the transcript exists anyway, every recording gets a subtitle file with it — downloadable for your editor, and playable in the browser. Audio gets captions too, which browsers do not otherwise provide at all. Transcripts and captions stop being a project and become a by-product.
